I’m so darned tired. I haven’t been sleeping very well since we moved into the new house. For whatever reason, I’ve been having nightmares just about every night. I even have been waking myself up in the middle of the night screaming, and that’s something I had never ever done before. Pat and I are going to switch bedrooms and see if that helps. Me so tired.

We had a lovely anniversary celebration on Monday night. We had saved a bottle of wine from our wedding for our first anniversary, so we drank that, and I make a nice dinner. Filet mignon, scallops, sautéed mushrooms, snap peas, bread, salad, and cannoli. After dinner we watched Sylvia, which I’ve wanted to watch forever. It was good, but I ended up falling asleep at the end. It’s not reflection on the movie, see paragraph 1.

Oh yeah, as an added note: To all those chumps who save their cake top for their first anniversary, I highly recommend saving the bottle of wine in lieu of the cake. I mean, seriously, what do you think is going to taste better a year later, cake or wine?? A couple of my co-workers called me a “lush” when I told them. I call them “moldy cake eaters.” Touché.

We recently went to Home Depot, my new favorite store, and got lots of fun, new stuff for the house. We got a lawn mower, three light fixtures, and some other little stuff. It was way too much fun. Now that Pat and I have tackled gas, we want to take on electricity. Bring it on, biatch!

Oh, um, so I couldn’t help but notice that Pat hasn’t written a blog recently. As much as I like to hear myself talk, I think I’d enjoy an entry from Pat. Anyone agree?

Oh Vienneau, you know I'm just joking!

Sorry Fran. My misguided attempt at humor was obviously ill-timed.

Re: V

Thanks for the helpful comment. You always know the right thing to say.

I think you moved intop a haunted house, and the spirit of the little man-child who died there is what is waking you up at night.
