I said god damn

Fran and I just got back from the final walk through of our new house. It looked great. I’m real excited to move my hot wife and my cats in there. We will be moving on this Saturday at 2:30pm, if anyone is awesome and wants to help us. We have had several people offer to help so far (some of them may have been in a drunken stupor, but we will still hold them to it). For those that help, we will be having a grillin’, eatin’, and drinkin’ festival of sorts at the new place. We may even name a room in the house after you.

We close tomorrow morning and then that sit is all ourz. The whole home-buying experience has been relatively pain free. I was slightly panicked on a couple occasions, but they worked out okay. The first was the lack of moving trucks that were available on the moving day. I was finally able to reserve a cargo van from Rent-A-Wreck. How low-brow is that? Frankie Fatz also volunteered his time and his sweet pimped-out mini van to the cause. The other occasion was this morning, when our attorney called our bank to get the final figure for the closing. We applied for what is called an 80-10-10. This is where you come up with a 10 percent down payment and then you get a home equity loan to cover another 10 percent. That way, you have 20 percent down on your house and you are not required to purchase mortgage insurance. To make a long story short, there was a very tense half hour when the bank and I had a different understanding about when these funds would be available to them. I, of course, threatened to burn their corporate headquarters to the ground and they quickly got on the same page.

I have next week off from work and I will have no shortage of things to do. I have some yard work to get to and a crap load of cleaning and painting. My phone, cable, and interNUT will be hooked up on Tuesday, so I have to meet all those rat bastards as well. It will be a nice vacation from the Kojak though. I will have to do some electrical work sometime soon. It will be amazing if I don’t seriously injure myself in the next couple of weeks.

Ohhh, don't believe the hype! You'll all know when there's a little Pat Reed - it'll be when I finally stop the boozing.

Thanks to all of you guys for the support! This is going to be the easiest move / greatest after-move party ever!

Is Fran hinting at something holding her shirt up like that? I think a little Pat Reed might be in the works.
