Warning: real boring blog

File under: Uncategorized

I'm so damn tired; I can barely see straight, but I wanted to add an update since it has been a while.

Sleepytime, USA

So, grand jury duty is going very well. I really enjoy it. If I could do it for a living, I would seriously consider it. It's pretty slow moving though, which I'm not really used to. Swift justice, my ass. There are lots of breaks between cases, and while I'm catching up on my reading, there are so many other things I could be doing. I even hate missing a half day of work, so in case you couldn't guess, it kills me to be out of work so much. Boo-hoo, right? It's a good time though. I love hearing all of the cases.

Tomorrow night, Pat and I do our final walk-through on the house. Holy cats! Then, Wednesday morning, we close. I can't believe it. Although it seems like forever since we started looking at houses, this still kind of crept up on me. We're moving the majority of our stuff on Saturday, and we'll be slowly moving everything else in the next two weeks. Then Don Jay is taking over our apartment! I'm so excited a friend of ours is moving in. This is a great place, so I'm glad it's staying in the family, so to speak.

Don Jay is one bad mamajama

This weekend we went out to Pat's parent's camp out near Alex Bay. I have to say, it was the most relaxed I've been in a really, really long time. Even during the car ride I was relaxed, which never happens. It was great to have a low-key weekend in between the craziness that life has been lately.

I thought I recognized that lamp. My current apartment could fit inside the living room of that place.

lol - that picture came from George Ford's apartment-warming party last year. Every time I see it, I crack up.
