We've got lots to update you all on. We had a great, action-packed weekend.

Friday night, Chris, Amy, Scott, and Sean Decker came over. Chris had mentioned that he wanted to meet Ruby and I said, "Yeah, come over tonight, because she's not getting any cuter." Or is she??

We all hung out for a bit at our place, until everyone had bite wounds from the "venomous" Ruby herself. Then, we got dropped off by Scott at Acme. What a crap hole that place is. Amy and I decided to leave the boys there and take the heel-toe express to Bug Jar. It was really beat there, so we went with Ray and his posse to (*gasp*) the Jungle. Why I haven't written this place off yet, I don't know. It was sort of fun, but mostly really crowded and stuffy. Amy and I decided to beat feet out of there after an hour or so. She called up Chris, and our boyz were at Mark's Texas Hots. All you have to say is "hot dogs" and we're there. We actually ran almost the entire way (about a quarter mile) and made record time. For those of you who really know me, you know I haven't run that far since the stupid presidential fitness exam in my sophomore year in high school. It's all about motivation, people.

Saturday, Pat and I met Jarrod and Matty Deuce out at Jillian's. I've somehow managed to avoid that place throughout the years. I was kind of dreading going there, but I hadn't seen those guys in a while, so I sucked it up and went. It kind of reminded me of being on a cruise. It was kind of disjointed and there were more kids there than I would have expected. It was actually better than I had anticipated, and it was great to see Jarrod and Deuce. Later that evening, we had some tentative plans to meet Kirsten and co. at Mex, so we headed there after Jillian's. K-money was not there, but alas, our friend Joel was. Now, a little background - Joel is one of our most under-rated friends. I mean, we see him quite a bit, and we have a great time every time we see him, but he doesn't get much exposure on pizzleNfrizzle.com. Joel's super cool in our books because he loves Mex and Rochester as much, if not more, than we do. Rock on, Joel!

Sunday, we headed over to my parent's house to celebrate my brother's birthday. We always have a fantastic time at my parent's house - there is always amazing food and wine, and of course, good company. In particular, the last few times we've been over there, it's just been super fun. Somehow, I managed to have four glasses of wine! That's a lot for a Sunday, much less anyday! I rarely get hung over, but I have to admit, I felt a little rough around the edges for the first half of today. I can't believe my parents got me drunk. Ha! Most notable, we were drinking a Stag's Leap FAY Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and a Stag's Leap S.L.V. Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. (My dad and brother just took at trip to Napa Valley - not too shabby.)

Pat and I are gearing up for St. Patty's Day. We just bought the makin's for corned beef and cabbage. Awww yeeeaaah.

I stand by my vote for Ruby, which for me summons up a haggard old woman with an eye patch spending all day camped out at a slot machine, chain-smoking Merits. Good times.

Venom!!! Agent of Satan gets my vote!

True, Ruby is an agent of Satan, but her duties are largely ceremonial.

Re: Matt

Exactly! Thus Venom would be a more fitting name than Ruby, don't you agree?

Pat and Fran should do a poll, and see how many of their subscribers like "Ruby", and how many like "Venom". 1 vote per person.

Comments!!This site just keeps getting better! Now onto the real topic. Does anyone get a satanic vibe from the pic. with Ruby and the star on her forhead?

Props to deez and doze (pat and fran) for the link to the Stag Leap's website. Now I can write those bastards an angry letter from the a) scorned girlfriend that did not get to go on the Nappa Valley trip and b) from the scorned girlfriend that now has to hear the same stories 10 times. Well, at least Phyllis had a new story to add to the mix for at least a week.

You can add comments now!? What kind of crazy bloggin' god came down and enabled this? This is truly the coolest website ever. Even cooler than www.iamnotcrazy.com.

If I can change either of your minds, I still like the name "Venom". She just LOOKS like a Venom. When I think of Ruby, I think of skies and diamonds. When I think of Venom, I think of rotting corpses and heads exploding at their own accord.

Yes. I think you should consider changing her name to Venom.
