I would like update everyone on my meat intake. I am happy to report that it's been a week since I hopped on the chuck wagon, and I'm very happy! I have been eating a lot of the things that I had been craving. I've got a list going and I've crossed off quite a few items. In addition to the reuben, I also had a turkey sandwich with stuffing and gravy, Wendy's nuggies and chili, a McDonald's cheeseburger, chicken and biscuits, a hot turkey sandwich with gravy, a burito supreme and taco from Taco Bell, and, I'm not terribly proud to report, chicken from KFC. Now, you might say, Frances, that's an awful lot of meat in one week for a gal. Well, let me tell you something, I have needs too. No, seriously, I know I'm hitting the meat pretty hard, but I've got almost six years to make up for! Give me a break. What are you, a doctor??

Sorry, I got a little emotional there. I am really enjoying the new me. And in fact, I have been thinking about my years as a vegetarian a lot lately, and although I totally remember why I became a vegetarian, I can't really understand why. In fact, I regret that I ever was a vegetarian. When I truly think about my reasons, they just seem immature. I totally support others that are vegetarians, but I just feel like it wasn't the right thing for me. Yes mom, I know, you told me.

Further, I would like to make a formal apology to anyone that ever had me over for a dinner party and anyone that ever shared a pizza with me. I thank you for your patients over the years. Especially Pat Reed, the father of my child. Pat, will you marry me?

Sincerely,
Fran "tofu is for suckers" McCarthy
